We have had wonderful weather to enjoy while visiting Scotland to see my pick of castles - Floors Castle. They are so many castles and stately homes to see, it is really difficult to choose. So we traveled from our resort in Slaley to about an hour north of the Scotland border to see the lovely castle. Belvoir Castle had an amazing collection of bird eggs - at least a hundred different types. And here at Floors Castle, there was an amazing collection of stuffed birds. Much to Dominee's dismay!!! But it was so interesting to see bird species from all over the world. These collections were both from the 1700 and 1800's. And at Alnwick Castle, there was a beautiful collection of China hand painted with landscapes and animals. So beautiful! Alnwick Castle is the castle that Harry Potter was filmed.
